Editor’s Note ✍️
This month has been really momentous for us at PPI. With new giveaways where our members get 100% scholarship for public policy courses for up to 2 lakhs INR (yes, you read that right!) to creating our first-ever, one-to-one communication channel with all the policy enthusiasts on Telegram, furthering our objective of democratizing the field of public policy in India and making it as inclusive as we can, a lot is on offer!
As you read on, you’ll find mention of some amazing work opportunities with various government organizations among others, a cool fellowship for our women community members, an interesting video on cyber-warfare and a long form piece on the mindset required to work in the field of public policy.
Wishing you an insightful read, and with that we bring you The Policy Post #96!
This Week’s Policy Focus 🔎
A Solution - Centric Mindset is Fundamental to Public Policy Work
Amit Gupta writes: The appetite to relentlessly monitor and track progress must be combined with the intent to devise a solution that could help regulators strike the right balance and chord with its public beneficiaries. Of course, in the longer term the solution must also exemplify social or economic benefits or both. For policy professionals to affect these transformative steps, it is imperative to have an ear-to-the-ground approach – understanding the landscape, engagement with pressure groups and scoping the unknowns are crucial parts of the job.
