Launching Sinceriti: A New Way to Signal Authenticity in Hiring + How Good Policy Gets Made (and Where It Fails)
Policy Post #212
Dear Reader,
This week,
This edition is a special one. We are introducing Sinceriti, a platform that helps bring authenticity into the hiring process by enabling applicants to signal real interest and commitment in a transparent way. Alongside that, we explore how pre-legislative processes shape law making, why some cities flood and others don’t, and how institutional stress affects justice outcomes.
Stay with us till the end for our updated mega-database of jobs and internships in the policy and development space.
As always, thank you for reading and championing better policy.
With that, we bring to you: Policy Post #212!

Standing Out In Your Job Application Process Through Sinceriti
You’ve probably heard that the job market is difficult right now. When anyone can claim to be passionate about a cause and craft the perfect cover letter and CV, genuine candidates like you find it increasingly difficult to stand out. The sheer noise in the application process, with hundreds of GenAI-assisted applications flooding recruiters’ inboxes for any role, has been changing the way hiring is happening. This is also overwhelming recruiters, making it difficult for them to make hiring decisions, amplifying the matching problem even further.
Hiring teams across the impact sector are struggling with this : everyone sounds perfect. With AI-sculpted cover letters flooding inboxes, it’s becoming harder to spot candidates who are sincerely committed, the ones who’ve actually engaged with an organisation’s work instead of copy-pasting enthusiasm.
Recruiters say the real challenge now isn’t quantity — it’s authenticity.
PPI is thrilled to bring Sinceriti to our community of changemakers. Built by senior leaders in the social impact sector (including a former Partner at Dalberg), Sinceriti steps in with a simple idea: give every applicant the same 100 “commitment points” across two categories each year to allocate to the causes and organisations they truly care about. These allocations are timestamped, tamper-proof, and can’t be edited retrospectively. It’s a simple way to signal authenticity in a world where polished claims are free and infinite.
It’s already being used by programs like the LedBy Accelerator and the Gandhi Fellowship to identify applicants whose interest goes beyond polished wording. For anyone job-hunting this season, Sinceriti is a free platform, and their team is available at contact@sinceriti.co.

The platform is free for applicants. The Sinceriti team offers daily chats and personalized guidance as you build your commitment profile. Reach out at contact@sinceriti.co.
