👉🏽 Who Has a Bigger Carbon Footprint: Men or Women?
Who leaves a bigger carbon footprint; men or women? A new study from France finds that men emit 26% more carbon than women from food and transport, largely due to higher red meat consumption and car use. These two sectors alone make up half of an individual's carbon footprint. Even after accounting for income, travel distances, and biology, a significant gender gap remains unexplained. The findings could reshape how we design fairer, more targeted climate policies. This one's worth your time.
