A recent study highlights how India's Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) significantly reduced infant and under-five mortality rates by improving sanitation access. With a 5.3-point drop in IMR and a 6.8-point drop in U5MR in districts with over 30% toilet construction under SBM, the program potentially averted 60,000-70,000 infant deaths annually!
