Hello,

I am an Environmental Law student working in the field of ‘Climate Change Policy 'and ‘Climate Resilience of Vulnerable Communities’, and I am involved in the field of Conservation since the age of 12. I have been involved in local Advocacy and Community Engagement since 5 years. I have been working with the indigenous tribes to help build waterholes, in conservation initiatives, wildlife census, and with frontline communities for Climate Justice.

I was selected as a ‘Climate Action Champion’ by the US Department of State to represent India on an international forum, and be the voice of Developing and Least Developed nations. I have also been selected by UNICEF as a Youth representative to give recommendations for the current SAPCC of Maharashtra.

Currently, I’m working with the Government of Maharashtra, to devise a Climate-Action plan for Pune. The ‘Youth manifesto of India’ was made by my team to inspire political leadership at every level of governance, and we are working to include Climate Action and Economic resilience in their electoral agenda.

This course will really help me gain an in-depth perspective in Climate policymaking in India. I went through the themes, and they really sound very interesting! The panel of speakers is also very impressive. Thank you for offering such an amazing opportunity!

Namastey!

I'm Ritika an aspiring civil servant. I'm not only concerned about climate change and environmental issues but I'm in love with nature and it's phenomenons. The questions is are we working for a substantial future or we are just bothered for present? Tricky question!!

Recently I gave thought on sanitary waste, approximately 200 tonnes of sanitary napkin waste get generated every day. A study reveals that around 12.3 billion sanitary napkins are accumulated in India's landfills. This led me to start using menstrual cup and a step towards health environment.

This is only one concern I raised, there is hundreds of such concerns we need to work on.

With this ONDC course I would like learn about ' climate change ' with potential soulutions. Whenever I go I life I would like to work our future by making people aware and conscious. If we all will work as a team for our mother Earth, I'm sure we will able to have beautiful earth flourishing and thriving. Let's become a reason for a change.

Thank You Public Policy India for this opportunity.

"Climate change is more real than ever." - There have been many instances that have made me realize this, the latest one being the stalling of construction at my house thanks to the unusual rains in North India. It is evident that climate change will impact all living beings on Earth sooner than later.

While I have made several lifestyle changes to incorporate sustainability in my life, I wish to gain a deeper understanding of climate change to contribute to the issue at a large scale. This course will enable me to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to further my cause.
